The Cultural Awareness

It is significant to mention that this learning scenario is not only about developing sports skills and knowledge but rather about educating people. As a result of sports, individuals become tolerant and respectful of opponents. In this way, they produce a sense of consideration and tolerance. People playing sports can interact with more people; they may be of a different race, gender or faith (Teaching with Europeana, 2022). During a game, they communicate, which is beneficial for building contact and providing everyone with the understanding that all people are different but have equal rights. Consequently, athletes expand their perception of the world and those humans who are different from them.

At the same time, the scenario is based on interdisciplinary teaching of civic education, which permits participants to be engaged socially. The students first research information and then exchange it, which teaches them essential social interaction tools. As a result, it facilitates individuals in connecting with different personalities outside of their education. It is significant to mention that the exchange of valuable information always occurs in the group according to the program’s rules (Teaching with Europeana, 2022). Thus, even the introverts will be capable of practicing gathering information and demonstrating it to a large group of people. The program promotes increased social engagement of students and provides them with the opportunity to learn how to communicate with individuals from different social backgrounds.

Crucially, in accordance with the program’s goals, students are interested in sustainable sustainability and are empowered to explore, argue, and create content through a variety of digital environments. The Internet and digital devices enhance children’s capabilities to experience the world around them in a tolerant and appreciative way, even if they have never been in a particular environment before (Teaching with Europeana, 2022). Hence, learning scenario guidance will significantly enhance and develop cultural awareness in children.

My Suggestions

I support that children have an opportunity to communicate and exchange information. Accordingly, I would keep the chance for them to exchange opinions and discuss in groups freely. This enables them to find arguments and defend their positions, and evaluate the reasons of others critically. At the same time, I would like to change the formation of study teams. It is crucial that each group include students of different races, social classes, and economic backgrounds. Socializing in such a circle would assist more in developing communication ability and ensure that children understand that people, independent of certain factors, are equal (Moore, 2018). Furthermore, I would propose expanding kids’ involvement in sports games in order for them always to be socially engaged and capable of interacting not only with friends but also with their opponents. This would allow them to exchange experiences and encourage each other to enhance the performance they have already obtained. Accordingly, competition is a phenomenon that empowers and optimizes children’s skills.

Although I would like to reduce the role of digital technology, for example, the use of platforms can be changed by live interaction. Then the teacher will be capable of assisting students who have specific challenges in accepting criticism or who are unsuccessful in constructing arguments. It is crucial to maintain eye contact between students; it will help learners develop flexible reactions and actions to the information they receive (Hwang, 2019). Thus, conducting conversations and discussions in a face-to-face format will facilitate students’ perceptions of each other and establish certain rules of behavior.
