Digitizing and Changing School Culture and Climate

The significance of an education technology leader is difficult to overstate. As technological innovation leaders, we need to be able to create and implement policies and education plans that improve the learning process for students (Hoy & Hoy, 2021). Additionally, the role of a technology leader often includes visionary leadership in the field of educational technology use, promotion of digital learning, and modeling technology utilization (Hoy & Hoy, 2021). The central idea associated with technology leadership in education is reimagining the learning process instead of simply digitizing the old learning strategies (TEDx Talks, 2013). Thus, it is crucial to carefully plan, select, and budget the technology used to improve educational outcomes.

One of the most innovative strategies of technology is the promotion of individualized learning using online classroom technologies. According to Sun and Wang (2019), online classrooms can promote individualized instruction, as teachers are able to review the strengths and weaknesses of every individual student and give them appropriate tasks to improve their weak spots using their strengths. As a result, teachers can set individual paces for all the students depending on their abilities and needs (Tangirov et al., 2021). Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ taught His disciples with great care about their personal characteristics, and we should do so as well.

There are several benefits associated with individualized learning promoted by technology. In particular, students are able to demonstrate their learning in a wide variety of ways, which improves the motivation of students to learn (Kulakow & Raufelder, 2020). Moreover, individualized learning increases the satisfaction of parents and students with their learning process (Kulakow & Raufelder, 2020). As a result, students’ academic achievement improves, leading to a higher ranking in the school.
