How Semester Exams Affect Students’ Emotional Stability: Article Proposal

In my article, I will consider how semester exams affect students’ emotional stability. This topic is particularly acute for many students who face various mental problems in the background of their studies. Moreover, this topic is relevant for students who expect final exams at the end of the academic year. I plan to take a comprehensive approach to the research for this article and study various aspects of the impact of exams on the emotional state of students. This comprehensive approach includes the study of the two most important factors: psychological and social. I plan to study how the psychological pressure of the semester exams and the students ‘ environment affect their mental health.

In order to qualitatively approach the writing of the article, I can refer to writings from previous issues of GWRJ with a similar topic. Database collections will also help me gather all the necessary statistical information for the study. I am confident that conducting personal interviews will help gather students’ opinions regarding this problem. However, it will be difficult for me to arrange meetings with each respondent in the current epidemiological situation. Thus, additional multimedia research by watching videos and lectures might replace the method of face-to-face interviews. Finally, I think that the inclusion of photos in the article would be inappropriate since they do not fit the topic.

I will incorporate such course themes as uptake in order to conduct my research for this article. The uptake will help to take a more comprehensive approach to writing an article and collecting information. Incorporating this course theme will also provide more accurate research results, as it will thoroughly cover the problem. However, a number of difficulties might occur when writing an article. First, as mentioned earlier, collecting data through interviews would be very useful. Unfortunately, the current situation with the coronavirus does not allow for safe meetings with students. Moreover, any topic related to behavior and mental health is complex. Each person is different and reacts to different situations in their own way. Therefore, it becomes difficult to identify any specific and accurate results. In conclusion, the potential outcomes should be identifying the impact of each semester’s exams on students’ mental health.
