The Quality of Learning Programs in Preschool Establishments

Kindergarten attendance is an essential step of a child’s and one’s parents’ lives. However, sometimes it might seem challenging to identify whether caregivers manage to efficiently cater to the children’s needs, excluding basic ones like feeding and cleaning. As for the preschool activities, it is hard to verify whether the child is fully engaged in them. Thus, parents face a serious issue of locating high-quality child care and preschool to ensure productive preparation to further education.

A high-quality program is entirely dependent on interactions between caregivers and children. To be more particular, the experience with tutors in the early years is essential for determining further relationships with teachers at primary, secondary, and high schools. Still, states determine the fruitful characteristics of programs in preschool establishments using other aspects, such as environment rating scales, CLASS system, national accreditation, and QRIS (Workman & Ullrich, 2017). In other words, to maintain the high quality of preschool programs, child care establishments must focus on recruiting professional caregivers who would promote leadership among children to assist them in acquiring communication and social skills. For instance, the programs must identify learning goals, activities that children should engage in to achieve fruitful outcomes (Workman & Ullrich, 2017). In addition, it is also vital to connect education to a child’s family through assignments involving crafts so that a child can share one’s talents and skills with parents (Workman & Ullrich, 2017). Another critical point is that the programs must be estimated for their efficiency according to children’s age groups.

To sum up, I agree with Workman and Ullrich’s opinion that high-quality preschool programs must be accessible for every family regardless of their status, location, and budget. From my point of view, to achieve efficient education in children care establishments, families and policymakers must focus on aspects that determine its quality on the whole. In my opinion, stated components of preschool learning should be followed when seeking appropriate children’s programs to ensure the productive involvement of the child before primary school attendance.
