Tulsa Public Schools: Inequality and Poor Education

Introduction

Nowadays, issues with inequality and poor public education significantly undermine the progress of society. This combination led to the creation of Tulsa Public Schools, which works to alleviate these problems. The core values of this organization are to promote equity, to nurture character, to chase excellence, to support as a team, and to make studying and teaching enjoyable for all involved (“About the district,” n.d.). Tulsa Public Schools are working not only to promote knowledge and education but for the betterment of society.

Main body

I believe that giving the same opportunity to reach the best results in school and later in life is one of the most crucial tasks for the U.S. education system. The majority of students from Tulsa Public Schools are economically disadvantaged, meaning that they have a rougher start in life (“About the district,” n.d.).

The organization uses several efficient approaches to teaching, such as language immersion and public Montessori programs, which further improve the knowledge transfer process, especially for multilingual students (“About the district,” n.d.). Moreover, the core values of Tulsa Public Schools help employees to stay focused on the primary objective – teaching students efficiently. It is essential for teachers to work toward the promotion of equal opportunities for all, as schools are one of the most crucial institutions that affect one’s future.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the values that Tulsa Public Schools hold in the highest regard are vital for modern society to function properly and harmoniously. I firmly believe that my participation in the community will be significantly enhanced by enrolling in Team Tulsa. By working in this organization, I hope to be able to align my effort with that of the organization in achieving greater equality within society.
