Learning Styles and Their Central Characteristics

The presented proposal focuses on creating a list of the major learning styles, their central characteristics, similarities, and differences. The literature review includes the analysis of the four major approaches to different learning paradigms, such as visual, auditory, reading and writing, and kinesthetic kinds (VARK) (Cimermanová, 2018). The methodology section explains how the analysis of the scientific literature promotes a better identification and understanding of the described learning styles and outlines their effectiveness in various situations.

The planned research study will compare the central aspects of the selected teaching methods, their effectiveness, and applicability to various situations. Furthermore, it is planned to determine the level of comprehending and memorized information associated with using the chosen approaches in different groups. It is also expected that the results collected during the research will help to prove the formulated hypothesis. The data collected from the relevant and credible sources will demonstrate the equal effectiveness of various learning styles. The final result, success, and the influence on the academic performance will be linked to choosing an effective strategy and method regarding the current situation and students’ learning needs (Cimermanová, 2018). The significance of the proposed study is linked to the correlation between the correct choice of learning style and the overall effectiveness of the educational process. For this reason, both students and teachers will benefit from the acquired results.

The main research limitations are linked to difficulties in verifying and determining the effectiveness of all learning styles selected for the research. It is impossible to eliminate the impact of external factors on memorization and outcomes. Some personal students’ characteristics, their abilities, mood, and motivation will impact results (Cimermanová, 2018). It is recommended to continue studying the selected research issue and analyze less popular and known learning styles that might be used in various settings.
