Special Format – Question, Response, and 2 References

Introduction

Research article is comprised of various parts which contribute to attaining the anticipated objectives. In this article I will focus on three parts of research which include; the research introduction, materials and methods, and results part of qualitative research. To begin with brief overview of three parts, introduction is short paragraph to present organized ideas (Burns & Grove, 2009). It precisely brings out objectives and back ground information. Material part has no length limit in terms of pages. It suitably employs use of third person voice in its documentation. Results documentation length is dependent on quantity and nature of data to be presented. It is suitably reported in past tense (Houser, 2008).

This section is intended to familiarize reader with objectives of this particular research work. It provokes the reader to clearly understand and absorb the researcher’s intentions. The researcher has to clearly portray the significance of his research and its worthiness. In this introductory part one he has to give reason why he chooses to use this particular study model. It brings out the system merits and its suitability. It also includes the research hypothesis and why it was used. In addition, it briefly touches on experimental design and it is geared toward attaining research objectives (Houser, 2008

Materials and methods

Many people tend to confuse the rationale of this part of research. It focuses on recording the entire procedures and materials so that other individuals carrying out related research can apply them. It also allows scientific judgment of this particular research work. This part reports the whole methodology, brings out steps on how the procedures were performed during particular time and clearly implicate if the perfect procedures was followed during the research work. It report key material which are essential for attaining anticipated results as guided by the researcher’s objectives.

Results

Rationale of this part is to point out the achieved findings after accomplishing the research work. One should not interpret the results at this point; it should be done at the discussion part of the research. The ideal agenda of this section is to report results. It briefly summarizes results including illustrations if required such tables, charts among others. It is aimed at giving each results description independently and portraying to reader on any significant observation. It brings out the context of addressed questions which might have come up during the research work and are covered by particular observation in the results findings. In addition it describes results which were formally not covered in the documented data presentation tools such as graphs, pie charts and tables. It also incorporates the results analysis, putting related data together to come up with conclusive decision (Burns & Grove, 2009).

Conclusion

This article brings out the three significant sections of research work. Each of them has a great contributory function or objective in the research. It is mandatory for researcher to keenly incorporate all research sections for them to come up with proper results. Setting up research work including all section is of great significance in simplifying and making the work understandable to readers.
