The Adult Education Program Analysis

The concept of education of adulthood embraces a comprehensive range of continuous learning processes, both formal and the whole spectrum of informal modalities and patterns. Through it, individuals expand their competencies, enrich their knowledge, enhance their professional qualifications or apply them in a new area. Although, it should be emphasized that each person requires a personalized approach to learning according to their capabilities and background.

Comprehensive attention should be concentrated on people who have not been educated because of an absence of material benefits and a non-supportive educational environment among the residents. Hence, for example, the Arab women in such areas are illiterate and do not speak English. Accordingly, they require a basic literacy foundation to progress through other academic disciplines. In collaboration with professional teachers, I assisted in evaluating each student’s general proficiency to create an individualized learning curriculum for them. I proposed separating groups to prepare learners according to their knowledge into two levels: beginner and elementary intermediate. The common feature of all curricula is that they will learn English, which will facilitate their socialization in the future. As a consequence, it will provide opportunities for access to health care services and decent employment.

It is significant to emphasize that totally all of the participants in the educational program were strongly motivated to learn, despite their older age. They were incredibly pleased that the training program existed and was appealing to an increasing number of teachers. This is because previously, Arab Americans had also demonstrated a desire to graduate but had not found the support and guidance to learn. Furthermore, the first students graduated and gained employment, which enabled them to enhance their standard of living and obtain medical insurance. Thus, the effectiveness of the adult education curriculum among the non-English-speaking demographic has been confirmed in practice.
