Elementary Teaching Science Course Outdoor

The advantages of the outdoor science course experience are closely connected with the idea of knowledge application in the real-world setting and bringing educational content to life. Outdoor education, however, is a concept commonly used to describe a wide range of planned events in various outdoor settings. The video “Bringing core content to Life with outdoor education” shows the program of students repeatedly visiting the same place with the same instructors and educators to establish a relationship-driven approach (Edutopia, 2020). Throughout the science course, the children can observe and interact with the natural ecosystems of water and ground and explore the changes. The specifics of such an educational strategy allow students to apply theoretical knowledge of nature. At the same time, it involves more senses than traditional education, such as touch, smell, and sight. Additionally, the activities can be prepared in the form of a game for children’s perception. These components aim to establish effective perception patterns for the children.

I am confident that such an approach to outdoor science courses will be the most suited for elementary education. In my future professional practices, I want to integrate at least some aspects of experience-based learning through separate assignments and tasks due to the possible lack of resources for the whole program arrangement. For the personal and professional methodology, I want to add elements such as science classes outside the school ground to observe the natural world. Additionally, the technique can include the handout. The material objects will help to form the association between theory and practice. The working system of outdoor education requires the united dedication of the school system, educators, and students’ involvement for successful outcomes.
