Different stages of writing coursework require different approaches to argumentation. To write an introductory part and a substantial dissertation on which all the work will be based in the future, it is necessary to study the topic and identify the main problems associated with it. This aspect is the most difficult among all the others, as it requires the most careful approach. The body paragraphs consider the oppositional points of view that justify this thesis. For the thesis statement, I chose: “The issues of healthcare and poverty are deeply interconnected, negatively influencing health outcomes of a large number of individuals.” For this purpose, the necessary literature was selected, which defends different points of view, to present the thesis in the first paragraph in the most detail. A solution to the problem of health poverty has been successfully identified: “A significant part of modern beliefs is associated with the idea that a person is most responsible for the inability to achieve economic opportunities and good health.” There are different resources, which significantly simplifies the work of finding support for arguments. Furthermore, one of the paragraphs expresses the author’s own point of view on the course work in support of a particular scientific point of view. The coursework actively uses examples that demonstrate the applicability of each argument in practice: “This patient has to spend on consultation fees, medication, and insulin shots; coupled with other basic needs like food and shelter, such a person can feel significantly strained.” In the final paragraph, all the ideas described earlier are summarized, and the thesis is formulated anew.
Various other techniques can be used to improve argumentation in the future. For example, the formulation of a counterargument directly in the introductory part of the course work (Berg, 2019). That is the designation of two oppositional opinions at the very beginning of the work and the formulation of a thesis that will describe one point of view. The use of various resources with many scientific papers will make it possible to produce proof of the argument in work (AcademiaOne, 2020). This will help to write filled paragraphs with examples and proofs. In another paragraph, it is necessary to express the author’s own point of view, with evidence from scientific articles, as well as with statistical data. The conclusion will be based on the conclusions drawn from the evidence and based on a previously written thesis.
