A Judge’s Job and Its Challenges

A judge’s job is highly respected in society, and it takes much time and effort to become a real professional. It is surprising that to be appointed as a judge, one must have at least ten years of experience being a bar member. Additionally, being a judge means running for election every six years, even if one has already got a job (Interview with judge Larsh, n. d.). It implies that the responsibility of working for the court is undeniable, and a person has to hold accountable for their actions to preserve their position.

What is more, the thought of eliminating biases is striking. Claims that the judge does not exclude them but merely take them into account but does not let them control the decision-making process. In order to avoid the occurrence of any prejudice, a professional must undergo ethical training every three years. Additionally, the major point about the job is preparation because it ensures the success of the decision (Interview with judge Larsh, n. d.). It is indispensable to let attorneys try their cases despite the level of their readiness because it would let a judge give their unprecedented opinion.

The position of a judge seems incredibly appealing and interesting regardless of many challenging situations. However, knowing the theory does not provide one with much experience, while plunging into practice may be difficult due to unexpected cases. Having enough persistence and eagerness to solve the case helps one become a successful judge. Nonetheless, I would like to take on this profession since it allows for justice allocation and ensures high social status. The idea that I could have an impact on society seems attractive because the restoration of equity is a global problem, the solution of which can be achieved through joint contributions.
