Career-related services are concerned with assisting individuals in getting more information about jobs or fields of specialization. Some plans and strategies focus on career-related services that can apply for college drop-outs. Many students drop out of college if they lack motivation to carry on with their studies. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the plans and strategies, including training and educational programs that can be applied in career-related issues.
The first strategy is engaging the individuals by analyzing the purpose of having a career in mind. Since it is part of human development, one must have a course that they have qualified in for the sake of getting a job at some point. When the college drop-outs have the necessary awareness, they will be more active in completing their courses to fit in that click (Zunker, 2016). The second strategy is establishing an office that serves the purpose of career development for students. The main target of such entity would be to prevent more students from dropping out of college by enlightening them on a broad basis of the opportunities they have.
Educational and training programs that can be used during the plan include having sessions of guidance and counseling to teach the students the aspects of the employment sector (Radoman & Voia, 2016). The training can be focused on which responsibilities can be expected at their workplace and how to deal with the human organizational workforce in respective industries (Shin & Kelly, 2017). The sessions can be scheduled to occur at least once or twice a week so that consistency is achieved effectively.
That will make the plan work better for the benefit of the students and society. Career-related services can help students know the importance of having specialization in the current industries. In particular, such strategies as student engagement can be used. Training programs include sessions in the colleges to inspire learners’ career-wise. It is recommended that all college students follow the career-related services in their schools. Reduction of the cases of students dropping out of colleges will enable the formation of competent and qualified personnel.
