There exist the basic principles of preparing for a job interview and performing it. They usually include such pieces of advice as conducting research about the industry and the company, in particular or thinking about the strong and weak points one possesses. However, there are several guidelines that are related to the psychology and feeling of safety and security. The most significant point here concerns the general emotional state of the candidates, as they should be calm and try not to show that they are worried. The anxiety not only shows the interviewer that a person feels unsafe but also prevents the latter from leading a constructive dialogue.
The next point here is to pay attention to the appearance, gestures, and mimics since HRs often look not only at the words the candidate says but also at the way ho he does it. In order to go through the interview successfully, people should speak clearly and confidently, without making long unnecessary pauses, pay attention to mimics gestures, and pose to at least, seem relaxed and unstressed. Apart from that, one should think not only about the questions the interviewer may ask him but about the questions to ask the interviewer as well. Such actions will show interest in the company and in the position (Experis, 2021). As a rule, the interviewers ask questions, and their absence may make them think that the candidate is not really interested in the position.
The process of preparation for the next job interview will consist of, first, listing the strong and weak points I possess. Then I will conduct research about the company and the position I will apply for and match the qualities they need with those that I already have. After that, I will try to guess what questions the interviewer may ask and think about the possible answers as well as about the questions to ask the interviewer in response. Finally, on the day of the interview, I will try to be calm, relaxed, and not afraid of unpleasant or unexpected questions.
